Representing France in Maastricht at the first conference on construction and environment
Privileged partner of nearly 80,000 businesses in the sector, C.T.B.A. (today FCBA) is the vector of wood. It is the centre of research and analysis. It guarantees applications, wood use techniques in all its forms. Its laboratories cover all technologies directly or indirectly related to wood, physics, mechanics, chemistry and biology.
The project is experimental, demonstrative, and very didactic. It is itself a presentation of wood, or rather of woods, of different ways of using it, of assembling it, of putting it into action. It is a modern and dynamic concept, respectful of the environment, at the service of technology. The project displays wood as structure, as cladding, as ceiling as well as floor, inside and outside. It demonstrates the relevance of wood use in difficult urban and rural areas to meet all types of programs.
The project nevertheless forms a coherent, unified whole. With its mass and proportions, the representation of its facades, it participates to the requalification of a territory lacking orientations.
