Today, Deauville is one of the four major world capitals of thoroughbred horse sales. The city’s current sales establishment has hosted horse sales since 1892 and in 1971 a huge amphitheatre-shaped auction room was built.
The operation carried out by Art’Ur Architectes, a vast restructuring and extension project, is part of a genuine development policy undertaken in recent years in order to improve the quality of service offered to sellers and buyers.
After two years of extensive work, sellers and buyers discovered:
– a fully reconfigured and renovated auction room,
– a new restaurant, expanded, with double orientation: interior area and exterior space with tree-filled terrace behind the sales room,
– a redesigned parade ring,
– a panoramic lounge with modern aesthetics and many other facilities designed to offer everyone superior comfort.
