The first major project of Art’ur firm, in collaboration with Alain Valentin in 1983, the project was born out of a meeting with Gilbert Trigano, president of Club Mediterranée.
Located in southern Italy, the Metaponto holiday resort stretches over a flat, marshy site where lush vegetation grows around and in the village. The built environment organises the routes between the theme gardens, and the use of living materials such as stone and wood allows the park to evolve in good conditions. Each area offers a range of colours and scents according to the seasons.
